ABU DHABI, 22nd DECEMBER, WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Chairman of the Intelligent Autonomous Systems Council, the activities of the seventh edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition “UMEX” and Simulation and Training Exhibition “SemTEX” will be launched from January 20 to 22, 2026 at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi.

The ADNEC Group organizes the two exhibitions in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, to form a leading global platform to showcase the latest innovations in the fields of unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, simulation, training, and future technologies in various civil, commercial and defense sectors.

On this occasion, Brigadier General Mohammed Obaid Al Marshoudi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for UMEX and SimTEX 2026, said: The two exhibitions represent an opportunity to develop sectors related to unmanned systems, as they are among the most influential technologies in the future of global industries. He pointed out that this year’s edition comes to consolidate the state’s role in supporting national companies and enabling them to display innovative solutions capable of competing globally, in addition to providing an interactive environment that brings together partners and experts to accelerate the development of this vital sector.

He added that the strategic partnerships that bring together the UAE with major international companies contribute to advancing the wheel of innovation and strengthening the country’s position as an international center for developing unmanned systems, simulation and training technologies, which have become an essential element in industrial and technical transformation worldwide.

For his part, His Excellency Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of ADNEC Group, said that the group has completed all organizational and logistical preparations to ensure the presentation of an exceptional session that reflects Abu Dhabi’s capabilities and capabilities in organizing and hosting the most prominent international specialized exhibitions, noting that the teams are working to apply the highest international standards to ensure a unique experience for exhibitors and visitors, and to highlight the pivotal role of the two exhibitions in supporting industries related to unmanned systems, simulation and training.

The significant expansion witnessed by the seventh edition reflects global confidence in the exhibition system developed by the ADNEC Group, and confirms the growing role of the UAE in leading the innovation process in self-propelled technologies and their wide applications.

The 2026 edition will witness the largest expansion since the launch of UMEX and SimTEX in 2015 independently of the IDEX exhibition, with record participation from government and private agencies, and major national and international companies, in addition to research institutions and centers specialized in developing robots, smart control systems, drones, simulation and training solutions, in addition to industrial and commercial applications of artificial intelligence.

The two events attract an elite group of senior officials, decision makers and sector experts from around the world, enhancing Abu Dhabi’s position as a global center for innovation in future technologies, and supporting the country’s directions towards building an advanced knowledge economy based on advanced technology and high-value industries.
