3 children and their mother were injured in a house explosion in Paris

French authorities said on Tuesday that three children and an adult were seriously injured following an explosion in an apartment building near Paris.

A local county spokeswoman said the children were 2, 4 and 5 years old.

French media reported that the adult was the mother of the children and was 39 years old.

Pictures and videos from the explosion site showed that the house was severely destroyed. The cause of the explosion was not immediately known.

The province said the explosion was powerful! So much so that the rubble reached a distance of 100 meters, adding that nearby homes and cars were damaged.
