The idea of the project that was monitored by “Al-Youm” is based on receiving the shoes of the pilgrims at the “King Fahd” and “King Abdulaziz” gates according to a numbered and organized mechanism, to be transported via private and secured paths to the final receiving point at the “Marwa” exit, allowing the pilgrim to devote himself to worship without being busy carrying his shoes or worrying about losing them in the crowd.

came This innovative solution is a result of the outputs of the “Diwan of Innovation” program of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk), and in direct cooperation with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, to reflect a tangible integration between youth ideas and the operational needs of the Holy Mosque in Mecca.

The operation relies on a flexible system that ensures speed of handling and accuracy of delivery, as the service was designed to be a radical solution to the problem of the accumulation of slippers in front of doors, which previously caused confusion in the entry movement. Those in charge of the initiative explained that the main motivation behind this innovation is the repeated field monitoring of the suffering of pilgrims with places where shoes are stored, and the resulting random appearances that are not worthy of the sanctity of the place. The idea came to transform this challenge into an easy civilized service.
