1,100 volunteers at New Year’s celebrations in Dubai

The Dubai Police General Command continues to receive requests for volunteers wishing to participate in activities supporting policing during New Year’s celebrations, within seven volunteer opportunities, which include working in bicycle teams, cavalry teams, positive spirit teams, volunteering in Hatta, photography, supporting the remote work team, and general volunteering, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance community partnership and consolidate the concept of shared responsibility between community members and security institutions.

The announcement comes based on Dubai Police’s keenness to involve the community in the security and safety system, and to promote the culture of volunteer work, which contributes to the success of major events that reflect the cultural image of the emirate, and confirms its status as a global destination for international celebrations and events.

Director of the General Department of Community Happiness, Brigadier General Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, confirmed that offering volunteer opportunities is consistent with government directions aimed at establishing a culture of community participation and enhancing the concept of shared responsibility between government agencies and community members, in a way that supports sustainable development goals and enhances the quality of life.

This trend also reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to its institutional strategy aimed at building effective community partnerships, investing the energies of volunteers in supporting community security, raising the level of preventive awareness, and enhancing trust between the police and society.

He stressed that Dubai Police offers hundreds of volunteer opportunities annually in various sports, community and security fields, and is keen to provide an organized and safe volunteer environment that enables volunteers to perform their tasks efficiently and with pride, noting that these initiatives contribute to refining the skills of participants and enhancing the spirit of belonging and loyalty to the homeland.

He pointed out that previous volunteer opportunities demonstrated the success of volunteers in supporting various activities supporting police work related to managing and organizing crowds, pointing out that Dubai Police is always keen to attract positive energies and competent people, and employ them in a way that serves the community and enhances the image of a safe Dubai.

Receiving applications for volunteer applications is scheduled to close the day after tomorrow (December 28), and volunteer tasks will begin next Wednesday (December 31), at five in the evening, according to the areas designated for the celebrations, where volunteers will be directed to clear tasks, procedures, and instructions, to ensure achieving the highest levels of organization and flow.
