A 6.6 magnitude earthquake hits the Philippine Sea

An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale occurred in the Philippine Sea near the coast of Okinawa, Japan.

The European and Mediterranean Seismological Center reported in a statement that the earthquake occurred this evening at 11:05 pm local time, explaining that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 68 kilometers and was felt by residents in large areas.
