Al-Sharjah wins over Shabab Al-Ahly and wins the UAE Super Cup
Dubai, December 27 / WAM / The Sharjah team was crowned champion of the UAE Football Super Cup, “Super Emaar”, for the third time in the professional era, after defeating Shabab Al-Ahly, 3-2, in the match that brought them together today at Al Maktoum Stadium at Al Nasr Club in Dubai.
Shabab Al-Ahly opened the scoring early through Federico Cartabia from a penalty kick in the third minute, before Sharjah equalized through Caio Lucas also from a penalty kick in the 26th minute, then Luan Pereira added the second goal for Sharjah in the 29th minute. Shabab Al-Ahly succeeded in adjusting the score again through Perino in the 37th minute.
Sharjah decided the match in its favor by scoring the third goal through Othman Kamara in the 78th minute.
After the meeting, Abdullah Nasser Al Junaibi, President of the UAE Professional League, crowned the Sharjah team with the Super Cup, in the presence of representatives of the sponsors.
