Disney+ is a strategic partner for the fourth edition of the One Billion Followers Summit

The One Billion Followers Summit announced that Disney+, the Walt Disney Company’s streaming service, has joined as a strategic partner for the fourth edition of the summit.

The One Billion Followers Summit, organized by the UAE Government Media Office, will be held from January 9 to 11, 2026 in the Emirates Towers, the Dubai International Financial Center, and the Museum of the Future under the slogan “Purposeful Content.”

This strategic cooperation comes within the framework of the One Billion Followers Summit’s commitment to attract major leading international companies to enhance the quality of digital content creation, and to enable content makers to benefit from the expertise of major companies in building an integrated digital media system that supports innovation and creative production, and helps them reach a global audience, enabling them to turn content into a sustainable source of income, and thus enhancing the UAE’s position as a global center for the digital media industry and the creative economy.

The Regional Director of the Disney+ platform in the Middle East said that the One Billion Followers Summit has become a global platform that brings together the most prominent creators and content makers from different continents of the world, pointing out that content creation has today become a fundamental pillar of the entertainment industry, and that Disney+ clearly witnesses the impact of talented content makers on the audience and how it interacts with various stories.

He added that cooperation with the One Billion Followers Summit provides many opportunities for cooperation between Disney+ and emerging talents from the region, which contributes to supporting meaningful content that promotes positive values ​​and gives the new generation a platform to express their ideas in innovative ways.

For her part, Deputy Head of the UAE Government Media Office and Director of the One Billion Followers Summit, Alia Al Hammadi, said that the cooperation with “Disney+” represents a qualitative addition that reflects the global status achieved by the summit, and a strategic step towards building alliances with major leading international companies in the content and entertainment industry.

She added that Disney+ has great experience in producing creative content and developing talent, and that the summit will be able, through this cooperation, to enhance the capabilities of its participants and provide them with the tools, knowledge and experiences that will help them create meaningful content that reaches global levels.

She pointed out that the One Billion Followers Summit is keen in each edition to build new partnerships that achieve integration between global expertise and local capabilities, which contributes to enabling content makers to expand their influence in various markets, and reflects the great development witnessed by the digital media sector, and keeps pace with the rapid transformations in the content industry worldwide.

The fourth edition of the One Billion Followers Summit comes as an extension of the great success achieved by its previous edition in January 2025, which attracted more than 15,000 content creators and influencers, 420 speakers, and more than 125 of the most prominent global CEOs and experts, recording more than 30,000 participants in physical attendance, and 1.5 billion digital interactions.

As part of its preparations for organizing its fourth edition, the summit launched many new global initiatives, which include the largest global award for films generated with artificial intelligence, worth one million dollars, in cooperation with Google, and the launch of the “Influencer Accelerators” program, within the second edition of the “Investing with Content Creators” program, which is organized and supported by the Influencers Headquarters in cooperation with 500 Global. Up to 50 million dirhams were allocated to the program, during which individual content creators and influencers are embraced. And companies to compete for support, and the One Billion Followers Summit also announced the creation of a special pavilion for content creation companies, for the first time since its launch, which represents a qualitative step to develop the content creation economy, and enable young creators to be inspired by the successful experiences of prominent influencers in establishing their own companies.
