6 fixed iftar cannons and the last one in Dubai during the month of Ramadan

The Commander and Commander of the Iftar Cannons during the month of Ramadan in the Dubai Police, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Tarish Al Amimi, revealed the locations of the cannons throughout the holy month of Ramadan, explaining that there are 6 fixed cannons that will be distributed throughout various parts of Dubai, while there will be a mobile cannon that will move throughout the holy month in 17 regions across the emirate, in addition to the allocation of a mobile cannon that will move in the Hatta region.
He explained that a work crew has been formed in each of the selected locations, in cooperation with strategic partners, to distribute fixed breakfast cannons, which will be present in 6 main areas in the emirate that witness a population and tourist density, namely the GBR area, Burj Khalifa, DAMAC Hills, Expo City Dubai (Al Wasl Square), and Dubai Festival City, in addition to the Vida Creek Harbor Hotel.
Regarding the 17 areas that the traveling cannon will visit, Lieutenant Colonel Al Amimi stated that the cannon will begin its route from the beginning of Ramadan from Dubai Gardens, then One & Only Zabeel, followed by Umm Suqeim Majlis, then the JBR area, then Bab Al Shams Hotel, then the Meydan Hotel, followed by the Global Village, then the Atlantis Hotel, then Nad Al Sheba Majlis, then the Margham area, then Burj Khalifa, followed by the Lahbab area, then the Al Khawaneej Majlis, Then Marina Boulevard, then Al Warqaa area, followed by Vida Creek Harbour, and finally Al Barsha Park.
He stressed that the Ramadan Cannon represents a national heritage that we are proud of and we are keen to develop it and deliver it to various regions of the emirate, pointing out that Dubai Police attaches great importance to the Iftar Cannon activities during the holy month of Ramadan because of the revival of Arab and Islamic customs, traditions and culture in the UAE society.
Amna Abu Al-Houl, Executive Creative Director at Expo City Dubai, said: “We are pleased to cooperate with Dubai Police for the fourth year in a row to host the main Ramadan cannon for the Emirate of Dubai, as the iftar cannon is a popular public event and a heritage tradition that we have followed as it grows and becomes more popular in our city. We saw how the Dubai Police ceremony to launch the historic cannon dazzles a large audience of different nationalities, especially Western and non-Muslim peoples, which confirms the status of this heritage tradition and its importance as a means of communication between people.” Different cultures and civilizations, and an established symbol of the holy month throughout history.”
