Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid witnesses part of the activities of the 16th edition of the Globe Soccer Awards

Today, Sunday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum witnessed part of the activities of the sixteenth edition of the Beyond Real Estate Development Awards “Globe Soccer”, which was held at the Atlantis The Royal Resort in Dubai.
During the ceremony, Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembele was crowned the best men’s player award for the first time in his career, while Barcelona player Aitana Bonmatti made history after being crowned the best player award for the third year in a row.
The 2025 edition of the Globe Soccer Awards, which was attended by an elite group of the most prominent global soccer stars, decision-makers, legends, and rising names, witnessed the distribution of more than 20 awards during the evening. Paris Saint-Germain was crowned the best men’s club, after an exceptional season during which it won the Champions League, the European Super Cup, the French League, and the French Cup. The club also won a group of individual awards, including Luis Enrique being crowned with the award for best coach, Vitinha with the award for best midfielder, Desiree Douille with the award for best emerging player, Luis Campos with the award for best sporting director, and Nasser Al-Khelaifi with the award for best club president.
In terms of women’s football, Aitana Bonmati continued her brilliance by winning the Best Player Award, while FC Barcelona won the Best Women’s Club award, and the young star Lamine Yamal (18 years old) stole the spotlight after winning two awards, the Best Striker and the Maradona Award.
The ceremony also witnessed the honoring of two prominent football careers, as the Sports Career Awards were given to the Spanish star Andres Iniesta, who scored the winning goal in the 2010 World Cup final, and the former Japanese star Hidetoshi Nakata, who won the Best Player in Asia award twice, and in the Italian League with Roma.
In a touching humanitarian gesture, a special award was presented to the parents of the late Portuguese player Diogo Jota, the Liverpool and Portuguese national team striker, who passed away in a traffic accident alongside his younger brother Andre Silva last July.
During the event, Jorge Mendes was also crowned with the award for best player agent, the Portugal national team with the award for best national team, Paul Pogba with the award for the comeback, Los Angeles FC with the award for best club identity, Nicoletta Romanazzi with the award for best mental coach, and the Academy Right to Dream Best Academy Award.
The winners were identified in nine main categories this year, including the best player, the best female player, the best men’s club, the best women’s club, the best coach, the best midfielder, the best striker, the best emerging player, and the best player in the Middle East region, after a public vote exceeding 30 million votes during two global voting windows.
The final winners were chosen through a combination of fan votes and evaluation by the Globe Soccer jury, which includes legendary names such as Marcello Lippi, Francesco Totti, Iker Casillas and Luis Figo.

The evening also witnessed the presentation of awards for the 2024-2025 season of the Spanish League, La Liga EA SPORTSRafinha won the Best Player award, Hansi Flick won the Best Coach award, Lamine Yamal won the Best Rookie Award, and the Best Goal award went to Luka Socic from Real Sociedad, while Jan Oblak, the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper, won the Best Save award.
