– Celebrates the graduation and employment of 55 trainees with visual disabilities
The Arab National Bank (ANB) and the National Society for the Blind in Riyadh celebrated "Blind" Graduating a group of Saudi youth with visual disabilities who are enrolled in the training and rehabilitation program for the first call center of its kind to serve people with visual disabilities, which the bank sponsored to establish and equip at the association’s headquarters as part of its community initiative. "To light their tomorrow" With the aim of empowering the beneficiaries professionally, economically and socially, the training program, in its first year, resulted in the qualification of 55 young men and women in the field of call center services. The head of the Media and Social Responsibility Department at the Arab National Bank, Mr. Saad Al-Hariki, and the Secretary-General of the Association "Blind" Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Bahili handed the graduates their certificates during the ceremony held at the headquarters of the Blind Association in Riyadh last Monday, in the presence of representatives of the entities and companies supporting the recruitment of the centre’s graduates.
During the graduation ceremony, a number of cooperation agreements were signed with the supporting national authorities to provide 7 immediate job opportunities for the centre’s graduates, while work is underway during the coming period to provide similar job opportunities for the rest of the graduates during the coming period.
The call center, which has been developed and equipped in accordance with the needs of people with disabilities, offers… Optical, training programs for associates in technical and technical support services, customer service, relationship management, and risk control, in addition to telephone sales services, marketing and digital communication services, and quality control, which qualifies graduates to join many related jobs.
Saad Al-Hariki expressed, during the graduation ceremony, his happiness and the bank’s pride in the center’s outputs during its first year, which exceeded expectations, stressing that a number of graduates obtaining immediate jobs reflects the effectiveness of the initiative and the success of its goals in providing a training environment. And stimulating rehabilitation that contributes to empowering beneficiaries, enhancing their financial independence, integrating them into society, and improving their quality of life.
He added that Arab National Bank’s adoption of ANB to establish and develop this pioneering center comes within the priorities of the bank’s social responsibility programs based on the concepts of community empowerment, and in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
For his part, the Secretary General of the Blind Association renewed his thanks and appreciation to Arab National Bank for its initiative. "To light their tomorrow"He considered that the initiative represents a distinctive community and development model that recognizes the rights of people with visual disabilities, empowers them socially and economically, and enhances confidence in their abilities.
Al-Bahili stressed that the quality of the center’s training environment contributed to developing the skills of the members, in a way that meets the aspirations and needs of the cooperating national bodies, noting that a number of the program’s members obtaining immediate jobs will pave the way for providing more job opportunities in the next stage.
