Unprecedented chaos and disruption in European air traffic.. What is the story?

With the escalation of the crisis, the airports of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen, Madrid Barajas, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Helsinki-Vantaa suffered tremendous pressure, as they witnessed severe crowding in the lounges, a lack of services, and delays that in some cases extended for more than six hours, which increased the state of dissatisfaction among Passengers. The affected airlines called on passengers to follow flight updates through official applications and websites, and to communicate directly with customer service offices to rebook or obtain compensation such as accommodation and food vouchers when necessary. While observers believe that what happened represents a real warning to the European aviation sector of the need to improve operational readiness, enhance communication with passengers, and address crew and maintenance problems, to avoid the recurrence of such disruptions in the future, especially during peak periods.
