halt "Neighbors of the Prophet" Achieves qualitative achievements to support "Orphans of Sharjah Foundation"

Sharjah, December 30, 2025 – The “Jeiran Al-Nabi” Endowment project, launched by the Sharjah Foundation for Social Empowerment to support orphans affiliated with the Foundation, during the first half of 2025, achieved qualitative achievements that reflected the level of societal and institutional interaction with its humanitarian mission, and contributed to strengthening its role as a pioneering endowment initiative to support the empowerment of orphans and their families, and to consolidate the concept of sustainable giving.
Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, confirmed that the project embodies the lofty vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and his constant keenness to support sustainable development initiatives that enhance human empowerment and consolidate the impact of social work within the comprehensive development system in the Emirate of Sharjah.
She explained that the achievements achieved reflect society’s awareness of the importance of endowment as a sustainable development tool that contributes to empowering fatherless children and their families, and providing them with a decent and stable life, noting that the positive interaction from individuals and entities reflects the spirit of partnership and community solidarity on which the project is based, and enhances the institution’s ability to develop its programs and quality services.
She pointed out that the success of the project in inaugurating the first endowment building with the generous support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, the first supporter of the project, in addition to completing the financing of the second endowment building with the support of Dubai Islamic Bank and community contributions, opens new horizons for continuing to establish more endowment buildings, in a way that enhances the sustainability of endowment resources and expands its humanitarian impact.
She pointed out that the “Neighbors of the Prophet” endowment project went beyond being an endowment initiative to become a model for an integrated community movement based on partnership and solidarity, which contributes to transforming giving into a lasting impact that supports the stability of orphans and their families and their long-term empowerment.
The project witnessed support from individuals and donors, with about 800 monthly endowment contributions recorded, and more than 1,600 endowment deeds issued, in addition to the increasing demand for digital donation channels, which constituted an essential tributary to the sustainability of the Foundation’s programs.
In terms of field achievements, the first endowment building was inaugurated with generous funding from His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, while financing for the second endowment building was completed with support from Dubai Islamic Bank and community contributions. The Foundation is currently continuing efforts to finance the third endowment building, as 20% of its construction costs have been covered, in an indication of the growing community confidence in the project and the sustainability of its impact.
