Trade in services in China increased by 7.1%

BEIJING, DECEMBER 31, WAM/ Services trade in China rose from January to November of this year, by 7.1 percent on an annual basis, with total imports and exports reaching nearly 7.2 trillion yuan (about 1.02 trillion US dollars), according to what the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced today.
The Xinhua News Agency quoted Ministry of Commerce data as saying that exports of services rose by 13.4 percent, reaching nearly 3.2 trillion yuan during this period, and imports increased by 2.5 percent, reaching more than 4 trillion yuan.
It is worth noting that the deficit in services trade decreased by 279.63 billion yuan compared to the same period in 2024. Trade in knowledge-intensive services witnessed continuous growth, with total imports and exports reaching about 2.73 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.6 percent year on year. Trade in travel-related services also recorded about 1.98 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.2 percent compared to last year, and exports of travel services in particular rose by 51.3 percent during this period, according to the data.
