Dubai: More than 2.8 million passengers used public transportation on New Year’s Eve

Dubai, January 1, 2020: The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority transported more than 2.8 million passengers during the 2026 New Year celebrations, achieving a growth in passenger numbers of more than 13%, compared to the previous year, which recorded more than 2.5 million passengers.

The authority confirmed that the approved traffic and operational plan contributed to ensuring the smooth and safe movement of the public to the celebration sites, within the framework of integrated coordination with the concerned authorities and strategic partners in the emirate.
