Korea’s food exports increased by 4%

SEOUL, April 4 (WAM) – The Republic of Korea’s exports of agricultural and food products increased by 4% year-on-year during the first quarter of this year.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs attributed the country’s rise in exports of agricultural and food products to the strong demand for instant noodles (ramyun) and fruits.

Yonhap News Agency reported that recent data issued by the ministry today showed that the value of exports of agricultural and food products amounted to $2.56 billion in the period from January to March last year, compared to $2.45 billion recorded in the same period last year.
