Venezuela demands a meeting of the security council to discuss the American attacks

Venezuela on Saturday called for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the US attacks on the country, after Washington announced the arrest of President Nicolas Maduro and his transfer abroad.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil said on the Telegram platform, “Facing the criminal aggression committed by the United States government against our country, we requested an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council, which is responsible for ensuring respect for international law.”
