Abdullah bin Zayed discusses with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India the brutal and terrorist Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and countries of the region

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India. During the meeting, they discussed the overall developments in the situation in the region, the brutal Iranian missile and terrorist attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of sisterly and friendly countries, and their dangerous repercussions on regional and international security and stability, the security of international navigation, energy supplies, and the global economy.
During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India reiterated his country’s solidarity with the UAE in taking the necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to maintain the security of its citizens, residents and visitors.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan appreciated the visit of Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar, which embodies the depth of the strategic relations linking the two countries, and an affirmation of his country’s full solidarity with the UAE. His Highness stressed the safety of all residents and visitors in the country.
His Highness reviewed with Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar the latest regional developments related to the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran by Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, and discussed the importance of strengthening the efforts of the international community to establish security and sustainable peace in the region.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest, related to the strategic relations between the two countries, and ways to strengthen them in a way that serves their mutual interests and brings goodness and prosperity to their peoples.
The meeting was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation Affairs, and Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Minister of State.
