Like Maduro, Medvedev proposes a scenario of “kidnapping Meretz”

Deputy Chairman of the Russian National Security Council, the country’s former president, Dmitry Medvedev, said that he could envision “kidnappings targeting other world leaders similar to the kidnapping carried out by the United States in Venezuela,” and mentioned among them German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
The official Russian TASS news agency quoted Medvedev as saying on Sunday: “The kidnapping of the neo-Nazi Meretz may be a wonderful turn in this festival of events.”
He added that such a scenario is not impossible.
Medvedev pointed out that “there are reasons to sue him in Germany, so there will be no loss, especially since German citizens are suffering unnecessarily.”
He considered that the allegations of the administration of US President Donald Trump about the illegitimacy of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who was arrested in a US military operation on Saturday and transferred to New York, are not proven true upon examination.
Medvedev then turned to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying that his term had ended a long time ago.
Moscow has long claimed that Zelensky is an illegitimate president because no elections were held.
But Zelensky remains in office under Ukraine’s constitution, which allows a president’s term to be extended during war.
