Abu Dhabi Police deals with 7 motorcycle accidents on land

Abu Dhabi Police dealt with seven traffic accidents involving motorcycles that occurred in sandy areas as a result of reckless driving and failure to adhere to safety requirements, and resulted in the injury of 9 minors, whose injuries ranged between severe and moderate.

The Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, Brigadier General Mahmoud Yousef Al-Balushi, called on motorcycle drivers to adhere to traffic rules and safety instructions, wear a protective helmet to protect themselves from head injuries, be sure to wear clothes designated for riding bicycles, ensure their safety and the validity of the front and rear lights and tires, and provide a first-aid box and approved protective equipment. He also called on them to reduce the speed of riding bicycles in crowded areas, and to ride them in the lanes allowed according to the information signs, pointing to the intensification of supervision. And traffic control on internal and external roads to catch motorcycle users who violate the law.

Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Department – Al Ain Region, Colonel Jaber Saedan Al Mansouri, called on families and guardians to accompany their children to areas where they practice motorcycle riding, including uninhabited sandy areas, to prevent negative behavior that may result in serious traffic accidents.
