Acknowledge The Council of Ministerscancellation of the Tourism Development Council and the tourism development councils in the regions, with the aim of rearranging the institutional structures related to the The Tourism Development Council established pursuant to Article Two of its regulation, in addition to canceling the regulation issued by the same decision, after reviewing the organization of the Council and the competencies and regulatory frameworks it included.
Abolishing Tourism Development Councils
The decision included in its second clause the abolition of tourism development councils in the regions, established pursuant to Article Two of its regulation, along with canceling its regulation issued by the same decision, within the framework of unifying regulatory references and modernizing the governance system related to the tourism sector.
The decision was based on the memorandums prepared by the Council of Ministers’ expert body, and the study they included of the relevant legal and organizational dimensions, in order to achieve alignment with the general directions of restructuring agencies and councils, raising the efficiency of institutional performance, and enhancing integration between the agencies concerned with developing the tourism sector in the Kingdom.
