Nigeria reaches the semi-finals of the African Cup at the expense of Algeria

Nigeria reached the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations with a 2-0 victory over Algeria, after Victor Osimhen scored a goal and provided an assist today, Saturday, in Marrakesh.
The runner-up of the last edition was not affected by the chaos that preceded the match, after the players threatened not to play the match due to the delay in winning bonuses, according to local reports, so Nigeria started strong and dominated the first half, but Algeria goalkeeper Luca Zidane stood in the way of the attempts of Ademola Lookman and Osimhen.
Osimhen succeeded in giving Nigeria the lead with a header immediately after the break, before paving the ball to his colleague Akor Adams, who brilliantly dribbled past goalkeeper Zidane and scored the second goal an hour before play.
The three-time African champion will play against host Morocco on Wednesday in Rabat for a place in the final.
