Session in "Top 1 billion followers" Discusses the transition of players from the playing field to the business

Dubai, January 11 / WAM / Retired English football star, entrepreneur and content creator Rio Ferdinand reviewed his experience in moving from a global icon on the field to an influential figure in the media and entrepreneurship.

Ferdinand confirmed that he moved to live in the Emirate of Dubai six months ago because of its security and stability, which reflects positively on psychological stability and stimulates creativity and systematic thinking, explaining that this stability forms the basis for any person who seeks to achieve major professional and creative achievements.

This came during a session entitled “From the Stadium to the Goal” within the activities of the fourth edition of the One Billion Followers Summit.

The session was moderated by British content maker Simon Squibb, who last year won the Billion Followers Summit award, worth one million dollars, which is the largest and most expensive global award for purposeful content makers. He pointed out that Dubai is today a favorite destination for pioneers in various fields, and a major supporter of ambitions and dreams.

Rio Ferdinand, the retired Manchester United star, revealed his fears after being away from the field, saying: “I was worried that people would only remember me for my sporting achievement, and this would not have satisfied my ambition.”

He stressed that always setting new challenges in front of oneself is the key to self-development, and not being satisfied with previous achievements.

He added that failure is a natural part of the path to success, noting that his move to the media after retirement was a deliberate step, which he began by establishing a private media company, and then providing content via digital platforms.

Rio reviewed his experience in humanitarian work, pointing to his charitable foundation that he founded ten years ago, which provides education for about 20,000 students and provides job opportunities for young people, stressing that making a positive impact on people’s lives enhances a person’s sense of satisfaction and psychological balance.

Regarding marketing through digital platforms, Rio Ferdinand stressed that success depends on continuous and effective communication with the audience, while ensuring attractive design, accuracy in details, and choosing effective advertising messages amidst the accelerating noise of digital content.

The session was hosted by a podcaster who provides content specialized in football, where he presented to the audience his ambitious project and his vision for developing it. During the session, Simon Squibb announced the provision of support worth 20 thousand pounds sterling to support the young man in developing his project, while Ferdinand stressed the importance of supporting the new generation of content makers and enabling them to transform their ideas into realistic, effective projects.
