المملكة: urgent: "education": There is no repeat of exams for students who are absent during Ramadan without an official excuse

These measures, based on Student evaluation regulationsapproved since the beginning of the year, to reduce the phenomenon of absence recurring annually during the days of the holy month in various regions and governorates of the Kingdom.

School administrations for boys and girls in the middle of last week began conducting exams for the first mid-term of the semester for the current year, while directing strict warnings to students and their parents of the importance of performing assessments on time to avoid losing grades.

Enhancing school discipline

The Ministry early began implementing A proactive plan to identify students who are expected to be absent and follow up on them carefully, in an effort to enhance school discipline and invest class times in a highly effective manner that prevents any educational waste.

The official directives obligated all schools to strictly adhere to the timing of the beginning and end of the school day, while dealing strictly with cases of morning tardiness and applying school uniform controls with extreme strictness.

The Ministry directed its educational departments to prevent any student from being expelled before the end of the official school day except In very emergency cases, the school administration holds full responsibility for controlling student presence and preventing dropouts.

It called on teachers to invest every minute during the class, by adopting flexible study schedules that suit the nature of fasting, and employing “active learning” strategies that break the stagnation and take into account the physiological variables of students.

The Ministry of Education stressed the immediate activation of communication channels with parents, and sending periodic disciplinary notices and reports, to ensure direct intervention to address any problem. Educational difficulties and providing a safe and stable school environment.
