Sharjah, 11 January / WAM / The Sharjah Judicial Council launched its new digital judicial platform, “Sharjah Judicial Platform www.sjd.ae”, which unifies the services of the courts, the Judicial Department and the Public Prosecution within an integrated digital system, as part of the Council’s efforts to develop a digital justice environment that supports digital transformation in the judicial sector and facilitates customers’ access to judicial and legal services through modern and secure digital channels.

The platform embodies the Council’s vision of establishing a judicial system based on efficiency, transparency and ease of access by making digital judicial and legal services available to all members of society, and enabling them to complete their transactions remotely without the need for personal attendance at the judicial authorities, which contributes to improving the customer experience and raising the efficiency of judicial work.

The Council explained that the first phase of launching the platform includes providing packages of specialized judicial and legal services, the most prominent of which are digital judicial services concerned with civil, commercial, and labor lawsuits, personal status, and enforcement, public prosecution services specialized in managing and following up on criminal cases, notary services related to judicial documentation, acknowledgment and power of attorney procedures, and documentation services provided to individuals and institutions in documentation transactions.

The Council confirmed that this stage is the first within the platform development project, and that work will continue during the coming period to expand the scope of services and add new packages of digital services, including the gradual inclusion of services supported by artificial intelligence, to provide a more advanced and effective digital judicial experience in accordance with international best practices.
