Saudi Arabia leads the region in health investments and record growth in commercial records
The healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia continued its strong growth in 2025, with the Kingdom ranking highest regionally in Health investments, and the health sector’s contribution to 5% of the gross domestic product.
The Global Health Forum 2025, which was held in October in Riyadh, witnessed the participation of more than two thousand brands, with investments and agreements exceeding 133 billion riyals, indicating the growth of foreign investments in the health sector by more than 560% in 3 years.
Growth of commercial records in the health sector
Activities related to the health sector during the fourth quarter of the year 2025 witnessed remarkable growth as a result of empowering national companies, stimulating investment in the sector, and using technologies. Advanced, which reflects the rapid growth of healthcare in the Kingdom and its leading position globally.
The number of medical laboratory activity records increased by 33% to 4,560 records in the fourth quarter of 2025, compared to 3,405 records in the same quarter of the previous year.
The number of records in the activity of manufacturing pharmaceutical materials and chemical and plant pharmaceutical products grew, recording 2,542 records in the fourth quarter of 2025, compared to 1,932 records in the fourth quarter of 2024, an annual increase of 31%.
The number of records in the activities of physical therapy centers, remote care centers and telemedicine increased by 31% and 30%, respectively, during the fourth quarter of 2025.
