New Zealand announces the closure of its embassy in Iran and the evacuation of its diplomats

New Zealand announced the closure of its embassy in Tehrantemporarily evacuated its diplomatic staff due to the deteriorating security situation in Iran.

A Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the diplomatic crew left Iran safely on commercial flights at night. The embassy’s operations were transferred to the Turkish capital, Ankara.
