Senegal shattered Morocco’s dream of being crowned on home soil and won the second title in its history when it beat it 1-0 after extra time on Sunday at Prince Moulay Abdullah Stadium in Rabat in front of 66,526 spectators.

Pape Gui scored the only goal of the match in the 94th minute, giving his country the second title in its history after the first in 2022 in Cameroon, while Ibrahim Abdelkader Dias missed a penalty kick (90 + 24) for Morocco, which was hoping for its second title as well and its first since 1976.
