It leads to the Literature, Publishing and Translation Share The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Cairo International Book Fair 2026 in its fifty-seventh session, organized by the Egyptian General Book Authority during the period from January 21 to next February 3, through 10 government agencies.
The CEO of the Authority, Dr., explained. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasel said that this participation comes as an extension of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to enhance the Kingdom’s cultural and literary presence at the regional and international levels, and to introduce the Saudi cultural heritage.
In addition to affirming the Kingdom’s role in pioneering the global cultural scene.
Supporting the participation of Saudi publishing houses
Al-Wasil stated that the Authority has harnessed its capabilities to support the participation of Saudi publishing houses in book fairs inside and outside the Kingdom, in addition to working to attract international publishing houses to participate in Saudi exhibitions, by building… New partnerships and strengthening channels of joint cultural cooperation.
The Kingdom’s participation in the exhibition aims to strengthen cultural relations and knowledge exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, and to enrich joint cooperation in the fields of literature, publishing and translation.
In addition to supporting the presence of Saudi publishing houses and literary agencies and marketing them internationally, and raising the level of awareness of the Saudi cultural heritage in international forums.
The Kingdom’s participation includes an accompanying cultural program organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, which includes an elite group of writers. And Saudi intellectuals through literary and cultural seminars and poetry evenings, which reflects the effectiveness of the Saudi presence in the Arab cultural scene, and contributes to enriching the cultural dialogue with the exhibition’s audience.
Participating Publishing Houses
The Kingdom’s participation in the Cairo International Book Fair includes 10 government agencies, led by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, with the participation of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, the Saudi Cultural Mission in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the King’s Library. Abdulaziz Public Library, King Fahd National Library, King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an, the Arab Observatory for Translation, the Saudi Monetary Laboratory, and the Publishing Society.
