January 31: Deadline for submitting value-added tax returns

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority called "Zatka" Establishments from the business sector subject to value-added tax, whose annual supplies of goods and services exceed 40 million riyals, must submit their tax returns for last December.
It also called for "Zatka"Establishments whose annual supplies do not exceed 40 million riyals must submit their tax returns for the fourth quarter of 2025, no later than January 31, 2026.
It urged "Zatka" Establishments must quickly submit their tax returns via the website (zatca.gov.sa), or submit and pay via the Authority’s smart phone application (ZATCA).
She explained that this is to avoid a fine for late submission of the return within the specified period, at a minimum of 5% and a maximum of 25% of the value of the tax that the taxpayer was required to declare.
She called on taxpayers from the business sector who wish to obtain more information regarding the tax. The added value is to communicate with them via the unified call center number (19993), which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or an account.
