«Emirates» and «Al Habtoor» to the final round of the Dubai Silver Polo Cup

The Emirates and Al Habtoor teams defeated “Dubai Wolves” and “Jahangiri” in succession, ensuring qualification to the final round of the Silver Cup Polo Championship, scheduled to be held next Saturday.

Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum led the Emirates team to a difficult victory over the Dubai Wolves, after overturning a goal deficit that lasted throughout the three periods that preceded the decisive period, and succeeded in ending the match in its favor by two goals, achieving its third victory in the qualifying round. With this result, the UAE team raised its score to six points, scoring 53 goals, to reserve a ticket to the decisive round of the tournament.

In the other match, the Al Habtoor team, led by Mohammed Al Habtoor, succeeded in overcoming the obstacle of the Jahangiri team, raising its score to six points, and ensuring qualification to the final round, regardless of the result of its final match scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, against the Dubai Wolves.

The Al Habtoor team presented a cohesive performance, relying on team play and high dynamism, which confused the ranks of Jahangiri, who suffered from a lack of harmony despite the great individual capabilities of his players and the speed of the horses.

The qualifying round matches will conclude next Thursday with two matches. The first will bring together the Al Habtoor team, led by Mohammed Al Habtoor, and the Dubai Wolves, led by Habtoor Al Habtoor, while the second will bring together the Bangash team, led by Haider Bangash, with the Jahangiri team, led by Mohammed Jahangiri.
