Proud of the collective spirit of Al-Nasr players

Al-Nasr coach, Serbian Slavisa Jokanovic, described the victory his team achieved over Sharjah yesterday, with two goals to one, in the 19th round of the Professional League, as just the beginning of a lot of work awaiting the team.
He stressed that winning the match is a beautiful thing, but for him, the best news is that the players knew how to work together, and implemented the required game plan in a distinctive way.
In response to a question about who is nominated to win the league title, Al-Ain or Shabab Al-Ahly, he pointed out that both teams include distinguished players, but he is focused only on his team Al-Nasr and seeks to improve its level.
Al-Nasr coach added to Emirates Al-Youm: “When we played against the Sharjah team in our stadium in the 12th round of the league, it caused us pain after they beat us 4-2, so we were looking for how to win against them in this match, and fortunately we succeeded in that.”
He continued: “This victory encourages us all, and even the fans are happy because the team is fighting and showing that it is capable. Of course it is nice to win the match, but for me the best news is that the players knew how to work together, suffer together, cooperate and score together. This is the only way for any team.”
Regarding how Al-Nasr benefited from the victory over Sharjah, Jokanovic said: “Honestly, I am not thinking much now, especially since the Sharjah match came before the international break. We have some yellow cards and some suspended players, and we have seven days to prepare for the next match against Al-Bataeh in the 20th round.”
When asked about the small details that made Al-Nasr’s victory against Sharjah, he explained: “Al-Nasr played the match in a collective spirit from all the players. Most of the time they implemented the game plan, and we are here to encourage them to work and present the plan to them, but in the end they showed character and made themselves proud.”
