"Abu Dhabi Arabic Language" He showcases his cognitive efforts at the Cairo International Book Fair

ABU DHABI, 21 JANUARY / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center is participating in the 57th session of the Cairo International Book Fair, organized by the Egyptian General Book Authority, during the period from January 21 to February 3, 2026, with two cultural and professional programs that highlight its pivotal role in promoting and empowering the Arabic language, and its efforts aimed at developing the translation movement and supporting creative industries.

Through this participation, the Center seeks to promote its most prominent publications, and introduce its new cultural projects, awards, grants, and initiatives that it organizes throughout the year. More than 525 titles were allocated to the literature and culture audience, including 105 new titles from Kalima Translation Projects, publications, and the Insights series for research and studies, covering various fields of knowledge, in addition to its publications related to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The center’s participation agenda in the event includes highlighting the programs and role of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, organizing meetings with technology experts and its modern applications, and holding dialogue sessions with directors of book fairs, heads of publishers’ unions, writers, thinkers, researchers, and representatives of the media with the aim of exchanging ideas, and attracting the most prominent book makers to participate in the next session of the exhibition for the current year 2026.

The Center has prepared an integrated cultural program with the participation of an elite group of Emirati and Arab cultural figures, through which it raises cultural and literary issues and discusses its most important projects and awards. The audience will be treated to dialogue sessions examining cultural contents, the most prominent of which is a session entitled “Cultural Work and Building Nations: Experiences and Milestones,” hosting His Excellency Mohammed Al Murr, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, President of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, Dr. Ahmed Mujahid, Executive Director of the Cairo International Book Fair, and Mohammed Rashad, President of the Arab Publishers Union, to discuss the role of culture in building countries by reviewing inspiring Arab experiences and highlighting influential milestones in… Creating community awareness.

The Center allocated three cultural sessions to review the impact of the awards it organizes, starting with the “Generation Treasure” Award session, entitled “Fine Arts and Inspiration from Sheikh Zayed’s Poetry: Creative Approaches.”

The Narrative of Gold Award session, entitled “Tales That Never Seeed the Light: A Journey in the Unpublished Short Story,” will introduce the importance of the award and its stimulating role for pioneering creators and young people, by hosting its winners.

Under the title “Twenty Years of Cultural Giving: Celebrating the Sheikh Zayed Book Award,” the session reviews the achievements of the award, which celebrates the twentieth anniversary of its launch this year, and addresses its importance as a prestigious global cultural platform that honors creativity and creators, and reflects the UAE’s pioneering role in enriching the cultural scene on the Arab and international levels.

The Center is organizing a professional forum under the title “Arabic Digital Publishing: New Horizons and a Promising Future.” The event reviews the center’s efforts and its role in expanding the spread of Arabic books globally.
