"Hero Dubai Desert Classic" It kicks off tomorrow with the participation of the world’s elite golf stars

Dubai, January 21 / WAM / Competitions for the 37th edition of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament, the most prestigious golf tournament in the region since its inception in 1989, and one of the elite tournaments within the Rolex Series in the “Race to Dubai” on the DB World Tour, will begin tomorrow, with prize money amounting to 9 million US dollars.
The tournament’s competitions will continue until next Sunday, with the participation of an elite group of the world’s most prominent golf stars at the present time, led by Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy, who holds the record for the number of times he has won the tournament with four titles, and who seeks to consolidate his historic achievement by lifting the “Dalla” Cup for the fifth time.
Englishman Tyrell Hatton, the defending champion of the last edition, is also participating in an attempt to retain the title for the second year in a row, along with a group of prominent names, including former world number one Dustin Johnson, FedEx Cup champion Tommy Fleetwood, and a number of international golf stars.
During the press conference that preceded the start of the tournament, McIlroy confirmed his aspiration to achieve a new achievement, while Tyrell Hatton expressed his happiness at participating again in the tournament.
In terms of national participation, the draw for the first round resulted in the presence of Ahmed Sukayk, captain of our national team, who is recording his first participation as a professional player in this global tournament, in the twenty-second group, along with Scot David Law and Indian Yuvraj Sandhu.
