A powerful polar storm hits America within days

It is expected to hit A severe winter storm accompanied by a sharp drop in temperatures across vast areas of the United States in the coming days, threatening to cut off power to more than 175 million people, in addition to freezing Travel traffic.
Meteorology expects the winter storm to sweep through "Vern" An area extending from Texas and the Great Plains to the mid-Atlantic and northeastern states.

Declaration of emergency
With the storm expected to reach its peak on Thursday and Friday, the state of Texas declared a state of emergency.

Freezing temperatures, which will reach below zero with sharp drops, will extend from the northern Plains Thursday to include the central Mississippi Valley, the Ohio Valley and the Northeast by Sunday.
This polar wave will be accompanied by strong winds, and felt temperatures may drop below minus 46 degrees Celsius throughout the northern Plains.
