المملكة: To enhance food safety… implementing a workshop for food preparation facilities in Abqaiq
The Municipality of Abqaiq Governorate, in cooperation with the Arkan Worker Training Center, held a specialized workshop yesterday, Wednesday, targeting facility owners Food preparation, restaurants and their workers, as part of the municipality’s efforts to enhance safety and compliance with health requirements, and raise the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
The workshop aimed to consolidate the concept of control within food establishments, and raise the level of Awareness of the health regulations and approved health regulations, which contributes to reducing violations and protecting Consumer health, and ensuring the sustainability of investment activities in the food sector.

The workshop addressed a number of main topics, the most prominent of which are: the concept of control and the role of leadership in implementing it, and food safety in accordance with approved health requirements, in addition to reviewing the most common risks in food establishments and ways to prevent them, and highlighting the best operational practices to achieve safety and compliance.

The workshop witnessed positive interaction from the attendees, as sound practices were reviewed to avoid violations, and the relevant regulations and systems were explained, along with clarification of the mechanisms for their practical application within food establishments, which contributes to enhancing regulatory readiness and raising the efficiency of operational performance.
The workshop was attended by representatives of more than 60 food establishments, and the meeting witnessed fruitful discussions and answers to participants’ inquiries, which contributed to exchanging experiences and enhancing Understanding the requirements for food safety and health compliance.
For his part, the Mayor of Abqaiq Governorate, Engineer Muhammad bin Aftan Al-Dhafiri, said that this workshop comes within its ongoing awareness programs to enhance health compliance, and raise the level of awareness among investors and workers in the food sector, which reflects positively on community safety and quality of life, and is in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
