Show a play "Al-Zeer Salem" Tomorrow at Al Majaz Theater
Sharjah, January 22nd, WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the first performances of the theatrical epic “Al-Zeer Salem” will begin tomorrow at Al Majaz Theater in Sharjah for three consecutive days.
A number of Arab artists are participating in the work, including the play’s director, Salloum Haddad, Bassem Yakhour, Abed Fahd, and artist Amal Muhammad, while the script was written by Othman Juha.
The theatrical work re-presents one of the most prominent epics in the Arab heritage within a contemporary artistic treatment that combines dramatic depth and human presentation and presents a new reading of the legend away from traditional templates.
His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Office, said that hosting the play “Al-Zeer Salem” at Al Majaz Theater in Sharjah comes within the framework of the keenness to present qualitative Arab theatrical works that are inspired by cultural heritage and present it with a contemporary vision.
He pointed out that the work provides an integrated artistic experience that combines dramatic depth and human value and contributes to enriching the theatrical scene in the emirate that supports theatrical arts.
The theatrical show extends for 120 minutes, supported by advanced visual elements that include moving décor that keeps pace with the transformations of the story with a dramatic rhythm of Arabic music, in addition to lighting and sound effects that enhance the dramatic atmosphere and support the theatrical narration.
