Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi honors the winners of the Sharjah Award for the Holy Quran and Sunnah in its 28th session

Sharjah, 22 January / WAM / Under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler, witnessed this morning, in the Al Qasimia University Theater, the ceremony honoring the winners of the Sharjah Award for the Holy Quran and Sunnah, in its twenty-eighth session, which is organized by the Sharjah Foundation for the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah of the Prophet.
The ceremony began with the national anthem and a fragrant recitation of the Holy Qur’an, after which Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Foundation for the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, delivered a speech in which he extended his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, for his presence and honoring the awards ceremony and honoring the winners.
In his speech, Ibn Dalmouk praised the constructive cooperation for the success of the Foundation’s programs and the distinguished level of the participants, pointing out that the award came to be a beacon of excellence, an incentive for fair competition, and a means of consolidating authentic Islamic values in the souls of young people through its various branches, which combine mastery of the Book of God and imitation of the guidance of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in knowledge and behavior, and that the honorable and distinguished levels of participants are the result of effort. Congratulations, and sincere cooperation between families, various institutions, supervisors, teachers and supporters.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Foundation for the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah of the Prophet extended his congratulations to the winners, pointing out that this session was distinguished by the addition of the recitations section with Asim’s recitation with the text of Al-Jazariya, complete with the continuations, for males and females. 1,103 male and female participants participated in it from various cities and regions of the Emirates, of whom 482 male and female competitors qualified for the final rounds, and 131 male and female competitors won in all branches of the award. In addition to the winners of the accompanying activities, 12 males and females.
The audience watched a visual presentation that addressed the role of the Sharjah Foundation for the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah in the success of the award and its development over the years to become one of the most prominent platforms of the Holy Qur’an, and the role of the award in educating young people and generations according to a decreed curriculum and encouraging them to memorize. The audience also listened to selected readings from two winners.
Dr. Salem Muhammad Al-Doubi, Chairman of the Jury Committee for the Prophet’s Sunnah Branch, gave a speech in which he praised the Foundation’s great efforts over many years in organizing the Sharjah Award for the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah and honoring its winners, which contributes to encouraging and urging them to memorize the Holy Qur’an and the noble Prophetic hadiths, and make them an example to emulate. He extended thanks and appreciation to the fathers, mothers and guardians, for their keenness to support their sons and daughters, who represent role models for their brothers. And their sisters and colleagues.
Afterwards, Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi honored the winners of the twenty-eighth session, males and females, as he presented shields and certificates of appreciation to the winners of each of the Holy Qur’an competitions: the category of imams and memorizers, the entire branch of the Holy Qur’an, the category of reading Asim with the complete text of Al-Jazariya with arrangements, and the general category in the branches of the entire Holy Qur’an, 20 parts, ten parts for citizens, ten parts for residents, and 5 parts. Citizens, 5 parts residents, in addition to categories: elderly citizens, male and female, and the guardian mother in the female category.
In the Sunnah of the Prophet competition, the winners were honored in the following branches: the category of the book “Khulassat al-Kalam” on the “Umdat al-Ahkam” from Hadith 1-294, the category of the book “al-Muntaqa al-Jami’” from the book “Bulugh al-Maram” 105 hadiths, and the category of the book “Tanbih al-Anam” with an explanation of fifty hadiths of the rules of Islam. The best circles and centers at the level of the Emirate of Sharjah were also honoured, and the best circles at the level of the Eastern and Central Regions were honored, in addition to the members of the arbitration committees for the Holy Quran and Sunnah competitions.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi presented memorial shields to each of the entities and personalities sponsoring and supporting the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah Foundation and the award. The head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler also received a memorial gift from the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah Foundation, in appreciation of his kindness in honoring the ceremony and honoring the winners of this session.
