Saeed Al Hajri meets the Prime Minister of New Zealand

Auckland, June 11 / WAM / His Excellency Saeed Al Hajri, Minister of State, met with His Excellency Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand, on the sidelines of his working visit to New Zealand and his participation in the “Fieldays” exhibition in Auckland.

Fielddays is the largest agricultural and trade event in New Zealand and one of the most prominent exhibitions specialized in agricultural innovation and technology in the Asia-Pacific region.

His Excellency conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Court, to His Excellency Luxon, and their wishes for New Zealand and its friendly people for further progress and prosperity.

For his part, the Prime Minister of New Zealand conveyed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, and his wishes for the leadership, government and people of the UAE for further development.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the UAE and New Zealand and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed between the two countries in January 2025. His Excellency Luxon stressed his country’s keenness to continue developing relations in a way that achieves the common interests of the two countries and the two friendly peoples.

The two sides also discussed the latest regional and international developments, and stressed the importance of containing tensions in the region, including the Iranian threats it is witnessing, and the necessity of continuing diplomatic efforts to enhance security and stability.

The New Zealand side stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to establish sustainable peace and security in the region. For its part, the UAE side expressed its appreciation for New Zealand’s position in support of stability in the region.
