The launch of the second session of the Women Parliamentarians Forum of the Mediterranean Parliament in Abu Dhabi
ABU DHABI, 27th January, 2017 (WAM) – Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, the second session of the Forum for Women Parliamentarians of the Mediterranean Parliament, hosted by the UAE and organized by the Federal National Council, began today.
The forum will be held over two days at the headquarters of the Federal National Council, under the title: “Empowering Women for Cohesive and Inclusive Societies: From the Gulf to the Mediterranean.”
Speakers of parliaments, parliamentary delegations, and regional and international community organizations from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the countries of the Euro-Mediterranean region participate in the forum.
