"Abu Dhabi Ports" and"Big Bear.ae" The American company signs a partnership agreement

ABU DHABI, 28 JANUARY / WAM / Abu Dhabi Ports Group today announced the signing of a partnership agreement between its digital arm, Maqta Technology, and Big Bear AI, a leading provider of artificial intelligence solutions in the field of national security, headquartered in McLean, Virginia, USA.

This partnership was announced during the World Customs Organization Technology Conference and Exhibition 2026 in Abu Dhabi, where the two parties will seek to explore opportunities for joint development and provide advanced digital solutions to enhance customs and border services for government agencies and port operators around the world.

Maqta Technology and Big Per.AI will explore collaboration opportunities in the areas of research, design, development, testing and implementation of digital platforms that support customs management, border operations and cross-border trade.

The two parties will seek to expand their cooperation beyond their local markets, and explore international trade opportunities with customs and government agencies, port operators and international stakeholders.

Under this partnership, Maqta Technology will utilize its diverse business portfolio, which includes the port community system, national single window platforms, digital customs clearance systems, and trade facilitation technologies, to provide more efficient and transparent regulatory processes and improve operational performance along global logistics value chains.

Captain Mohammed Juma Al Shamsi, Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, said that the partnership with Big Bear AI is an important step in the framework of the ongoing journey to enhance digital solutions supported by artificial intelligence, and improve commercial, customs and logistical services.

He added that by combining Maqtaa Technology’s extensive experience in providing trade facilitation services, port community systems and customs management, and the advanced capabilities of Big Bear AI in the field of artificial intelligence and customs, we will enhance our capabilities to provide advanced solutions that enhance efficiency, transparency and risk management, along global trade and logistics networks.

For its part, Big Bear AI will employ its extensive experience in the field of customs services supported by artificial intelligence, which includes automated image analysis for customs inspections, integrated platforms for risk management and decision-making support, and multi-media solutions for border management, which contributes to enhancing security and raising the level of efficiency and quality of decision-making.
