STOXX position 600.. European stocks close trading lower
Finished European stocks traded lower on Wednesday.
And The European STOXX 600 index fell by 0.7% at the close to 609.08 points, with all major stock exchanges recording losses, and the performance of regional sectors varied.
The French CAC 40 index fell by 1.06%, reaching 8,066.68 points.
The British FTSE 100 index fell by 0.52%, reaching 10,154.43 points.
/>The German DAX index lost 0.20%, closing at 24,843.54 points.
Semiconductor stocks
The company announced "ASML" The Dutch semiconductor giant’s orders exceeded expectations, while sales guidance for 2026 was higher than estimates.
The company’s shares jumped 5.9% at the beginning of trading, which pushed the shares of its European counterparts higher, but it later retreated to close down 1.9%.
