Emirates Airlines needs 20,000 employees within 5 years

Emirates Airlines said that it will need about 20,000 employees, during the next five years, in the sectors of air hospitality, airport services, pilots, and engineers, noting that it is preparing to receive 17 Airbus A350 aircraft during the new fiscal year, and that the demand for travel to and from Dubai is recording strong and continuous levels.
The carrier stated, in an interview with local media in Dubai yesterday, that it has made great progress in implementing its largest ever program to modernize aircraft cabins, as 83 Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft have been completed so far, noting that the “premium economy class” is now available on 105 aircraft within the Emirates fleet, which reflects the increasing demand from passengers for this class.
Recruitment processes
In detail, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Emirates Airlines, Adel Al Redha, confirmed that the strong demand for travel, along with ongoing expansion plans, is pushing Emirates Airlines to continue large-scale recruitment operations, revealing that the company will need about 20,000 employees in the operations department only during the next five years.
Al Redha explained in an interview with local media in Dubai yesterday that the employment plans include various operational specializations, such as air hospitality, airport services, pilots, and engineers, in line with the continued growth in the fleet and network.
He said: “We continue to hire to meet our needs, as we will receive more aircraft that will be operated in new destinations, or on existing routes to increase the number of flights.”
Al Redha revealed that the company has special programs aimed at attracting more Emirati citizens to fill various jobs, through specialized programs aimed at training them in the required job sectors.
Investing in services
Al Reda continued: “We continue to invest in our products, and we are working to develop various aspects of our services, whether in the air or on the ground, in terms of food services, aircraft equipment, and infrastructure, to provide distinguished services and an unparalleled travel experience in various classes.”
He pointed out that these plans reflect strong confidence in the future of demand for travel to Dubai, whether for tourism or business purposes, and confirm Emirates Airlines’ commitment to investing in its human resources in addition to its investments in the fleet and services, pointing out that during the current year the company will provide 38 private lounges in airports around the world, as part of its plans to enhance lounge services in foreign stations.
Strong request
Al Redha said that Emirates Airlines is preparing to receive 17 Airbus A350 aircraft during the new fiscal year, which will enhance its operational capabilities and support its expansion in global markets, stressing that the Emirates Group recorded outstanding performance in the first half of its fiscal year 2025-2026.
He stressed that the demand for travel to and from Dubai is recording strong and continuous levels at all classes of travel, driven by the increasing number of travelers to the emirate, for tourism and business purposes.
He added that demand across the global Emirates Airlines network is strong, noting that the carrier continues to operate its flight schedule as usual.
In the context of improving the travel experience on board, Al Reda pointed out that 10 Boeing 777 aircraft are now equipped with the Starlink satellite Internet service, with expectations that the number of aircraft equipped with the service will exceed 150 aircraft at the end of this year, indicating the great satisfaction of passengers with this service.
Al Redha confirmed that the carrier has made great progress in implementing its largest ever program to modernize aircraft cabins, as 83 Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft have been completed so far, as part of a comprehensive plan aimed at improving the travel experience across all classes.
He explained that the “premium economy class” is now available on 105 aircraft within the Emirates fleet, which reflects the increasing demand from travelers for this class, and embodies the carrier’s commitment to providing flexible travel options and high-quality products.
Seat manufacturing facility
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Emirates Airlines, Adel Al Redha, said that within the framework of supporting the modernization program and strengthening industrial capabilities locally, Emirates Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding with Safran Company, during the Dubai Air Show last year, to establish an advanced facility for manufacturing and assembling seats in Dubai. He pointed out that the first phase of this project will focus on manufacturing “economy” and “business” class seats, to meet the requirements of the aircraft cabin modernization project, provided that the new facility will provide a dedicated production capacity to serve… Emirates Airlines, in addition to other Safran customers, indicated that the scope of the program in its current stage is limited to manufacturing and installing seats, without expanding into the manufacture of other parts of the aircraft.
