The creative Emirati engineer Omar Al Gurg was appointed to design the memorial. Al Gurg is characterized by blending architecture with Arab heritage in a unique style and focuses his work on innovative design. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Queen’s University in Belfast. It is also distinguished by being an integrated cultural platform that is unique in its advanced architecture and includes several cultural and artistic facilities.
The monument will be built in the park in a location that allows visitors to see it from both inside and outside.
The park includes two main memorials: the Martyr’s Monument, which honors the martyrs of Kuwait, and the Constitution Monument, which commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the Kuwaiti Constitution. In the Martyr’s Park Memorial Museum, visitors are provided with more knowledge about the history of Kuwait, its previous battles, and the Gulf War.
Al Shaheed Park, which is part of the new Kuwait National Cultural District, includes several historical areas, museums, exhibition areas, open-air theatres, performance centers for concerts and theatrical performances, art exhibitions and other types of cultural events.
