Sharjah Police enhances security and community awareness for national service recruits
Abu Dhabi, 1st February / WAM / Sharjah Police is keen to enhance security and community awareness among national service recruits through interactive initiatives.
Lieutenant Colonel Salem Al Mazrouei, Deputy Director of the Prevention and Follow-up Department of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate at the Sharjah Police General Command, stressed Sharjah Police’s firm commitment to supporting and protecting young people, noting that the awareness of the next generation represents the basic pillar of the nation’s future.
This came during the participation of the Sharjah Police General Command in the Military Police Exhibition for Combating Drugs and Cybercrime, which is organized by the Ministry of Defense in Zayed Military City and continues until the fourth of February.
Al Mazrouei explained to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that this presence aims to provide an integrated package of awareness programs that focus on drug prevention, combating cybercrime, and promoting cybersecurity concepts among young people.
Sharjah Police’s participation included a series of awareness lectures and interactive workshops aimed at delivering direct and simplified messages to young people and highlighting the dangers resulting from wrong behavior and how to avoid falling into the trap of crimes of various kinds.
The Sharjah Police Wing displays a symbolic mural that presents the young man with two choices: the path of success that leads to a bright future and a happy family, and the path of deviance that ends with devastating negative results for the individual and society.
Al Mazrouei pointed out that this mural aims to enhance the ability to make the right decision at crucial moments.
He stressed that the future of the state is built on the hands of young people and said: “Your decision today is what shapes the features of tomorrow, and we at Sharjah Police are always ready to reach you anywhere to provide support and assistance to ensure that you are on the right path.”
This participation comes within the framework of the Sharjah Police strategy aimed at enhancing security and safety, and building bridges of effective communication with all segments of society, especially youth, to ensure a safe and stable national environment.
