Teixeira after the loss to United… Al Wahda faced a difficult and organized team

Al-Wahda’s Portuguese coach, Dimas Teixeira, confirmed that his team faced a difficult and organized opponent during the United match, which ended with Al-Wahda losing 4-2 and being eliminated from the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup competition.

Teixeira said, during the press conference that followed the match, which was held today, Sunday, at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain: “We aspired to win and qualify for the next round, but that did not happen. We have to turn the page on this match and focus on the next stage.”

Regarding his decision to replace Syrian striker Omar Kharbin, Al-Wahda coach explained that the change came naturally, with the player participating for more than 95 minutes during the match.
