Find out the value of activating the final purchase in Saldana’s loan deal from Al Wasl to Sharjah

Brazilian media revealed the details of the transfer of Brazilian striker Mateus Saldana to Al Sharjah Club on loan from Al Wasl Club until the end of the season, with a clause allowing the “King” to activate the final purchase option for $5 million when the loan period ends next June.

ESPN reported that Al-Wasl stipulated this amount as part of the conditions for approving Saldana’s transfer to Sharjah, which makes activating the purchase option dependent on the club’s assessment of the player’s value after the end of the loan period. The network explained that this financial clause is the most prominent element in the deal, as it reflects the size of the expected investment in the player and his ability to provide an offensive addition to the team during the coming period, while Al Wasl will benefit financially from loaning the player, in addition to determining the value of his sale once and for all after the end of the season.

For his part, the Transfer Market website, which specializes in the player transfer market, explained that Matthews Saldana joined Al-Wasl Club from Hungarian club Ferencvarosi for 5 million euros.

The Sharjah Club had announced the contract with Saldana after concluding two Brazilian deals to include Rafael Pereira and Leandrinho, as part of its endeavor to strengthen the team’s ranks during the next stage.

During the current season with Al-Wasl Club, Saldana participated in 14 matches with a total of 831 playing minutes, during which he scored one goal and received one yellow card without receiving any red card, which reflects his regular participation despite his limited scoring production.

Saldana is 26 years old and plays the position of an outspoken striker. He has extensive experience in European and Asian stadiums before arriving in the Emirates. He played for Ferencsvarosi FC in Hungary, Neftchi Baku FC in Azerbaijan, and Qingdao Runing Cang FC in China, in addition to spells in the Japanese League with GEF United Chiba. He also had a distinguished experience with the Serbian club Partizan, during which he performed strongly and scored remarkable goals in the past seasons.
