Fujairah hosts the World Youth Karate League Championship with the participation of 93 countries

Fujairah, February 4, 2017 – Fujairah will host the World Youth Karate League Championship during the period from 12 to 15 February, with the participation of 93 countries in one of the largest and strongest editions of the World Youth Karate League.

The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Championship, headed by Major General Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi, President of the Emirati and Asian Federations and Vice President of the International Karate Federation, announced that the level of readiness has been raised to ensure that the tournament emerges in the best organizational and technical way, in line with the prestigious international reputation enjoyed by this international tour, which is hosted by the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Abdullah Al Badi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Emirates Karate Federation and general coordinator of the tournament, said that the upcoming Fujairah edition is receiving great momentum and global attention in light of the vision of the wise leadership supporting the individual games, noting the participation of 450 people from work teams and 250 volunteers of both genders, in an image that reflects the spirit of teamwork.

He stressed that the International Youth Karate League “Youth League” in Fujairah, which is being held amid expectations of the participation of more than 3,000 individuals from various parts of the world, represents one of the most prominent sporting events in the sport of karate during the current year, as it provides a high-level competitive platform, and at the same time enhances the position of the UAE as a global center for hosting international sporting events.
