Under the slogan "Brothers forever".. The UAE and Kuwait heroically consolidate fraternal relations "Challenge" school

Abu Dhabi – Kuwait, February 6 / WAM / The activities of the first stage (first leg) of the “Challenge Championship” for school football between students of schools in the United Arab Emirates and the State of Kuwait, which was organized by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education, were concluded in the sister State of Kuwait, in conjunction with the week of celebration of Emirati-Kuwaiti relations, which is held under the directives of the wise leadership of the country under the slogan “The Emirates and Kuwait…brothers forever.”

This tournament comes as a pioneering educational step that embodies the depth of fraternal relations between the two countries, as it was held in a home-and-away system, with the UAE hosting the final of the tournament and announcing the winner during the period from April 4 to 7, 2026.

In her speech during the opening of the tournament, the head of the UAE delegation, Her Excellency Dr. Thuraya Khalifa Al-Salmi, Director of the Technical and Technical Education Department and Acting Director of the Student Quality of Life Department at the Ministry of Education, affirmed that this sporting and educational event “inculcates values ​​before goals, and through it personalities are created before results are recorded,” noting that the tournament represents an educational and national priority, and a first step towards broader and sustainable Gulf cooperation that includes various sports, with the aim of opening broader horizons for students to learn, grow, and discover talents.

Al-Salmi addressed the students, saying: Today you are ambassadors for your countries, and sportsmanship is your true victory, calling on them to make their performance on the field an image that reflects their morals and embodies the sophistication of their countries.

Regarding the delegation’s impression of the visit, Al-Salmi praised the high-level organization and warm reception that expresses the depth of the relationship between the two brotherly peoples, stressing that school sports today are no longer just a side activity, but rather have become a national priority for building a healthy and balanced sports generation.

She added that investing in school sports is an investment in people, and in the future of a nation that believes that health, values, and excellence begin in school before the podiums, noting that these events open greater opportunities to discover talents and create future champions at an early stage.

Al-Salmi concluded by stressing that the goal is to continue these initiatives on a regular basis, and expand them to include the exchange of experiences between schools and coaches, in a way that enhances the quality of school sports in the two countries. She also thanked the sister State of Kuwait for the good reception and distinguished organization.
