Under the directives of Mohammed bin Rashid, Dubai Humanitarian Aid sends a convoy of vital medical aid from the World Health Organization to Lebanon

Dubai, March 27 / WAM / Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, Dubai Humanitarian Center sent a relief convoy transporting 21.5 metric tons of basic medical supplies to support the displaced in the Republic of Lebanon in light of the current crisis. The convoy started on Friday, March 20, 2026, and is expected to arrive within a few days.
This shipment comes from the World Health Organization’s stock, confirming Dubai Humanitarian’s continued commitment to effective humanitarian response, as the convoy included a group of medicines and vital medical supplies to support health care services that respond to the needs of the displaced population, thus contributing to supporting existing relief efforts to mitigate the humanitarian impact of the crisis.
Giuseppe Saba, Executive Director and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, said: “Based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Humanitarian continues to enable the delivery of vital aid to communities affected by crises. This operation reflects the strength of our integrated system, as members and partners continue to adapt to changing challenges to ensure the continuous flow of essential aid. As the leading humanitarian center in this field, we confirm our readiness to expand the scope of our support, by working in close coordination with various stakeholders in the Emirate of Dubai.” And in the United Arab Emirates and beyond, ensuring effective, reliable and responsive humanitarian efforts.”
Dubai Humanitarian Fund implemented this operation by covering transportation costs from its Global Humanitarian Impact Fund, as part of its role as a global enabler of preparedness and response to emergency crises, by employing strategic partnerships and enhancing regional interconnectedness and operational readiness in support of the international humanitarian community and to stand by those in need.
