Florida, June 2, 2017 – The US Special Operations Command honored Major General Musallam Mohammed Saeed Al Rashidi, Director of the Office of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, by awarding him the “US Special Operations Command Medal”, in recognition of his outstanding contributions in this field and his role in enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries.
Al Rashidi received the medal during an official ceremony held at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, USA.
The medal – which is awarded by the Commander of the US Special Operations Command – is awarded to individuals who make outstanding contributions in the field of special operations, including international partners supporting joint missions.
The US Special Operations Command praised the role of Major General Musallam Al Rashidi in enhancing coordination and joint operational compatibility with the US Special Operations Forces, in addition to contributing to supporting efforts aimed at confronting terrorism, combating extremist organizations, and enhancing regional stability, within the framework of strategic cooperation relations that bring together the UAE and the United States.
